1. Mica Band Heater Brief Introduction

 

Mica Nozzle Band heaters are used in plastic processing industry for keeping the nozzles of injection molding machines hot. Nozzle heaters are manufactured from high quality mica sheet or ceramic, and have Nickel Chrome resistance. Nozzle heaters are covered by metal sheathing & can be rolled to the required shape. Band heaters operate efficiently when the sheath temperatures are kept below 280 degree centigrade. If this temperature is maintained, the life of the band heaters gets long.

 

 

2. Mica Band Heater Features:


High class Nickel Chrome ribbon is used.
Maximum power: 3w/cm2(s.steel),4.5w/cm2(brass),6.5w/cm2(ceramic insulation)
Operating temperature up maximum of 500 degree centigrade
Axial, Radial & Tangential terminals are available

4. Mica Band Heater Application

 

Band heaters are commonly used in the plastics industry: to heat plasticization cylinders, extruders and injection presses. They are also employed on woodworking machinery and scientific-medical equipment.
