1) Type k thermocouple is the most common type of thermocouple. It’s the best price, accurate, reliable, and has a wide temperature range. Type k thermocouple is commonly found in nuclear applications because of its relative radiation hardness. Type k thermocouple can meet 1200C for short time using, type k thermocouple can meet 100C for long time using. Type k thermocouple is widely used in industrial,household and other places.
2) This thermocouple is made for fiber glass insulated wire in a stainless steel tube. The element is normally brazed to the tube at the tip. Bayonet adaptor is used for mounting purpose. N most of the furnace thermocouples are placed in block pockets, but over a period of service it may get through hole. At crown there are number of points to measure in center, right & left, the same kind of assemblies can be used for regenerator crown as well.
